We thought our home base in Texas would be the best place to come out of the publication closet to finally meet some of our readers. So we set up shop at the R.O.T. Rally in Austin, where women riders were out in force! It was as if our Featured Artist section had leaped right out of the HH ezine pages into our booth with past featured artists Lory Lockwood's Photo Realism work reflecting its sheer brilliancy that brought a touch of elegance to this rowdy event. HH's next issue's artist, Sara Liberte, provided and Image Fusion piece, which had people literally stopping in their tracks. The HH booth also rocked with a very hip leather riding jacket - one lucky new subscriber is now the proud owner of - donated from Catherine Cox of Lady Rider. Thank you Catherine, the quality of your gear is incredible!
And a big Texas thanks to each and every one of the hundreds of ladies that stopped by to sign up for an HH subscription to show their support! We felt an instant connection and sisterhood with so many of you. Gotta give a shout out to our slightly twisted pals at Evil Bettie motowear (see Becky wearing her evilness), their tees are sure to be famous if not infamous. Pittsburgh Stacy you rock! Your enthusiasm for our ezine reached the radio airwaves of KLBJ, the Austin rock station. (Ok, so it didn't hurt that your cousin's DJ Big Mike...)
Helmet Hair's next stop will be in Athens, GA, for the AMA/FIM International Women & Motorcycling Conference, where HH pens and flashbulbs will be hard at work (and play). See you there!
