It’s only May 3 and we’re already intoxicated with the bevy of motorcycle buzz brewing this month. For starters, the Ride with the Rockers rolls out of Los Angeles for a two-day ride up the California coast and ends up at the Ritz Carlton for the second annual Legend of the Motorcycle Concours D'Elegance. Our friend, Carla King, is joining this bunch (she mentions something about riding with the Sex Pistols!) and promises to share with Helmet Hair readers all the misadventures she’ll be entertaining. Until then, we’ll get back to finishing up her book, American Borders (www.motorcyclemisadventures.com) to continue living vicariously through her.
Another female rider who takes life by the handles, Vicki Gray of Motoress, has declared May 4 as National Female Ride Day. Although this originated in Canada, she calls on all female riders from across the globe to get on their bike and show solidarity. Hell yeah - riders unite! Read more about the big day here: http://www.motoress.com/readarticle.asp?articleid=132&c=news
